News - Samaritan Physicians Receive Honors
For most of human history, the beginning and end of life occurred at home, in the midst of loved ones gathered together. With the coming of modern medicine, events to welcome life and to witness its departure moved out of the home and into the hospital. While it now seems perfectly natural for babies to be born there, many people feel that end-of-life care calls for a less clinical, more familiar setting.
Helping patients and families in central and southern New Jersey achieve that goal is the reason Samaritan Hospice was founded. Since 1980, Samaritan has provided comforting care and support for more than 35,000 patients and families through our growing Family of Services:
Samaritan Hospice care is a positive choice you can make. We are the "something more"
you can do when an illness or injury is no longer responding to curative treatments.
Please use our online referral form or contact Samaritan at

any of our services or programs.
