Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities
For some people, "home" has become an assisted living facility or nursing home. They can still have the comfort of knowing that Samaritan Hospice care is available at many long-term care facilities. The hospice team works closely with the facility's medical director and staff to supplement the care and relieve the pain and other distressing symptoms. Samaritan also provides volunteer companionship and assistance as well as support for family members.
Inpatient Hospice Program
The Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center, located within Virtua Memorial Hospital (Mt. Holly) will provide Samaritan's signature care in a home-like hospital setting. The 6,065 square foot center features homey decor, 10 patient bedrooms, a family/living room, kitchen, children's playroom and meditation room. The Center provides short-term stays for the management of symptoms requiring a more acute level of care than is possible in the home.

Pediatric Palliative Care
When children need hospice care, Samaritan's experienced pediatric palliative care team is here to help. Children and their families are embraced with the care and support they need to stay at home in familiar surroundings close to the people they love the most.

Jewish Hospice Program
Created with love by Jewish Family Services of Southern New Jersey and Samaritan Hospice, the program strives to offer tikvah-hope to live each day to the fullest in comfort and dignity, surrounded by loved ones.
With respect for Jewish traditions, Samaritan and Jewish Family and Children's Service work closely together to provide hospice care. Specially trained volunteers offer added support, and the Jewish Community Rabbi lends spiritual comfort and guidance for those not affiliated with a synagogue.
