Mount Holly, NJ - The new Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center Gallery exhibit, A Quiet Touch, features works in India ink and colored pencil by Haddonfield artist William Marlin. “Drawing nature is a compromise between what is and what one is able to report,” said Marlin. “It is one of man’s and of woman’s noblest efforts – to tell the truth to another as one sees it – a golden means of communication and the fundamental purpose of art.” The public is invited to view the exhibit seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The show runs through January 25, 2008 and a percentage of the proceeds of exhibit sales will benefit the Samaritan Fund. Samaritan Hospice Receives National Recognition for Responsiveness
Marlton, NJ - OCS has named Samaritan Hospice as one of seven winners of the 2007 Vision Award. Samaritan received the award for improving responsiveness to patients and families on nights and weekends. After examining data analysis from OCS, the not-for-profit organization added more on-call nurses as well as evening and weekend receptionists to better respond to patient needs. Mother and Daughters Share Song of Living
Cherry Hill, NJ – Marcia Glover-Banks, 42, of Lindenwold, NJ, wrote and recorded a song with her three daughters, knowing it may be one of the last memories her daughters have of her.
