The Center for Grief Support
Hope for Tomorrow for Those Grieving Today
Grief is a natural, healthy, and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. But while grief may be a universal reaction, it is also a very personal experience, one that each of us feels in our own way. Feelings like loneliness, anger, guilt, confusion, and fear can all be present at once.
At The Center for Grief Support, Samaritan offers a caring staff of trained professionals whose experience, empathy, and understanding can help people cope with the loss of a loved one.
In addition to individual and family counseling, the Center hosts a number of support groups created to fill a unique need. Groups for children and adults bring people together with similar losses, such as younger widows and widowers, younger children, and women who have lost their mothers.
The resources of the Center are open to anyone in the community who has experienced a loss-regardless of whether or not they have used other Samaritan services.
